Jira Work Management is designed for marketing, HR, finance and other business teams. So you can work and collaborate with others according to your requirements [1]. What I really like about the new feature is the simple design and the fact that tools such as the calendar, lists and the timeline-feature that were previously unavailable, can now also be accessed. If you don’t have an account, you can simply create an one in the Jira Cloud for testing and try it yourself with up to ten colleagues.
Calendar
Especially for bug fixes or Go-Live-Appointments the calendar view is super handy. Everyone can easily keep track of important to-dos and schedule them.

Timelines/Roadmaps
Similar to New-Generation-Projects in Jira, you can also map tasks on a timeline or a kind of roadmap. I already find this feature very helpful, for example in management presentations for showing what is to be done in the coming days, weeks and months. But also for own rough planning of projects this feature is extremely helpful.

Forms
Create useful forms for any project in seconds with the new drag-and-drop forms for building blocks [1]. Here, for example, I used it for customer dashboard requests. This way, internal and external data users can submit ideas and requests. By specifying the form, you can already try to establish well-defined user stories here.

Other valuable Features
I also found the list view useful. Here, you can see any and all tasks with their respective priorities. Checklists are unfortunately not build-in here, however I discovered the useful add-on Smart Checklist, with which you can, for example represent acceptance criteria [2]. The usual features like reports, for instance to evaluate sprints, are still available.
Summary
In my opinion, the new work management features of Jira are great for quickly and easily mapping Data Analysis projects. Especially, if I want to avoid project management overheads, but rather want to work in small teams. Besides projects, the features are also great for further development of products, for example through forms with which customers can submit requests and ideas. My favorite feature is the timeline/roadmap view, which I like to use for management presentations.
