On IBM Leaving the Facial Recognition Industry

In response to the protests against police brutality and institutional racism, IBM has “called on Congress Monday to enact reforms to advance racial justice and combat systemic racism” according to an article by NBC News. In addition, IBM CEO Arvind Krishna stated that the company will be removing itself from the facial recognition technology business after major concerns being raised over the years.
